How much does the 2022 INFINITI QX55 cost?

Prices have softened 13.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 438 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 a good car?

Generally — the 2022 INFINITI QX55 earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It stands out as a style-first luxury crossover with a retro-inspired design, a luxuriously appointed cabin, and a driver-centric layout. It also brings standard all-wheel drive, a VC-Turbo engine, and a strong list of standard safety and connectivity features, which makes it appealing if you want a premium crossover that feels well equipped right away.

The main trade-off is practicality: the QX55 is noted for not having much cargo space, so its dramatic shape comes with a real everyday compromise. The expert review also points to a cabin that feels serene and refined, while the standard powertrain and AWD setup support a confident, premium driving experience.

40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The QX55 is presented as a well-equipped premium crossover with standard AWD and a VC-Turbo engine, and the expert review emphasizes a refined, quiet cabin and a powertrain that is tuned for smoothness. The turbocharged engine is described as using variable-compression technology to adapt for power or efficiency, and the CVT is noted for avoiding the droning that used to be common in older versions of this transmission type.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a maintenance-friendly ownership experience, with five years of no-cost access to premium traffic and MapCare on the Essential trim. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that a stylish, coupe-like crossover with limited cargo space may be less versatile than you expect if your needs grow over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 INFINITI QX55?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the condition of the cabin, electronics, and safety systems, since this model leans heavily on standard tech and driver assistance. You should also pay close attention to cargo-area usability and rear visibility, because the design trades some practicality for style.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxe trim includes the core QX55 formula, while Essential adds leather seats, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, navigation, and a 16-speaker Bose audio system. Sensory adds semi-aniline leather seats, black natural maple wood trim, intelligent cruise control, direct adaptive steering, a motion-activated rear liftgate, tri-zone auto climate control, ProPilot Assist with head-up display, cube-design LED headlights with auto leveler, and adaptive front lighting.
• Powertrain: The QX55 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT and paddle shifters, producing 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The VC-Turbo setup is standard across the lineup, and the engine is described as balancing power and efficiency by adjusting compression ratio.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, a rear-view monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist. ProPilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance, while blind-spot intervention, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition are standard on Sensory and optional on Essential.
• Infotainment: The QX55 uses Infiniti InTouch with 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and a 4G LTE connection for the built-in WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: All trim levels return 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Which 2022 INFINITI QX55 trim should I buy?

The 2022 INFINITI QX55 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxe, Essential, and Sensory.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the value play if you want the QX55’s core appeal without stretching the budget. You still get standard AWD, the VC-Turbo engine, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a strong safety list, so it covers the essentials well.
• Essential: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the comfort and convenience upgrades that make daily use feel more premium, including leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, navigation, and the 16-speaker Bose system.
• Sensory: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the QX55, with semi-aniline leather, more advanced driver-assistance and steering features, a motion-activated rear liftgate, and the most complete lighting and climate setup.

Optional safety-related packages are available on the Essential trim, and Sensory includes additional standard safety and driver-assistance features.

If you find a listing below $25,555, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 INFINITI QX55's resale value?

The current average of $25,555 sits slightly below last year's $29,581.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than higher-mileage or lightly equipped versions.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 safe?

The 2022 INFINITI QX55 earns five-star ratings for frontal crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The QX55 comes with a strong standard safety package that includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, a rear-view monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist. ProPilot Assist is also standard, combining adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance.

One caveat is that rear visibility is compromised by the sloping rear roofline, and the lane-departure warning system is described as somewhat oversensitive. That means you should pay attention during a test drive to how the driver-assistance alerts feel in real-world use.

Should I buy a 2022 INFINITI QX55 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model stands out for its style-first design, standard AWD, VC-Turbo engine, and strong standard safety and connectivity features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the QX55’s distinctive styling and well-equipped standard package at a softened used-car price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can shop aggressively for a lower-mileage example near the bottom of the range and still get the core strengths that define this model year.
