That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A softer current market can limit near-term upside, but it can also help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example should still hold reasonable appeal to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better primary choice if you want a model year with strong owner satisfaction, decent deal availability, and a softer price trend than a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the cleanest history and best out-the-door price.
