The 2024 Cadillac XT4 brings a surprising amount of cabin space to the compact luxury SUV format. The XT4 also provides plenty of standard features for its price. ## What’s New for the 2024 Cadillac XT4 The XT4 was introduced for the 2019 model year, and after several years of minimal changes, it received updates inside and out. In addition to styling tweaks, the XT4 also has a revamped, tech-focused interior. ## Design The new-look XT4 features a wider grille that connects to sleeker headlights. It still features the characteristic Cadillac “line” LED lights at the front corners. It also comes with a new lineup of alloy wheels from which to choose. Powertrain The 2024 Cadillac XT4 comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the front wheels or available all-wheel drive (AWD) through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The XT4 can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) version of the XT4 returns EPA-estimated fuel economy of 24 mpg city, 29 highway, and 26 combined. With AWD, the XT4 returns 23 mpg city, 28 highway, and 25 combined. The XT4 requires premium fuel. ## Interior Trims for the XT4 are Luxury, Premier Luxury, and Sport. Standard equipment on the Luxury trim includes piano-black interior accents with laser etching. Moving up to the Premium Luxury trim adds either aluminum or genuine wood trim based on the color selected. It also adds genuine leather upholstery and memory driver’s seat settings. The Sport trim provides genuine carbon fiber or wood trim based on the color selected. The Sport trim also features sport pedals and a sport steering wheel. With the rear seats folded, the XT4 has up to 48.9 cubic feet of cargo space. ## Technology The most defining feature of the XT4’s interior is the massive 33-inch curved LED display that’s home to the digital instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment system. The software is Google-based, but it still has connectivity for wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The XT4 comes with wireless device charging and Amazon Alexa compatibility and is 5G Wi-Fi hotspot-capable. An available AKG 14-speaker audio system puts out impressive sound. ## Safety Standard driver-assistance features on the 2024 XT4 include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also comes standard with GM’s Teen Driver system, which allows the owner to set speed and volume limits on a second set of keys. There are a number of available driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, a reverse camera mirror, and a 360-degree parking camera system. ## Pricing At the time of this writing, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 has a base MSRP of $39,090 for the Luxury trim. The Premier Luxury trim starts at $42,690, and the range-topping Sport trim starts at $43,190. The Cadillac XT4 is backed by a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
