Is the 2022 Audi Q5 a good car?

The overview describes it as a premium midsize SUV that emphasizes comfort, quality, and standard equipment, with a luxurious interior, standard quattro all-wheel drive, a roomy cabin, and a smooth ride. Is the 2022 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a refined, well-equipped SUV with standard all-wheel drive, a comfortable ride, and a premium-feeling cabin, all of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its practical layout and strong standard equipment also make it feel like a vehicle built to be lived with rather than merely admired.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying extra for a model that may have been maintained inconsistently, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a premium SUV like this should feel tight, clean, and well cared for inside and out. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make sure the vehicle’s history and mechanical condition justify the price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,846 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,545, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $24,545 sits slightly below last year's $29,468.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future resale if you buy at the right number today. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who pays closer to the top of the market. Strong condition and clean history should matter even more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,501, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,545 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for buyers who want electrified efficiency.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,219, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $24,545 average.
• It adds a more sporty feel with a quieter, more polished cabin.

The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV at a softened market price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if the plug-in hybrid setup matters to you.
