Used 2021 Nissan Titan for Sale nearAustin, TX

How much does the 2021 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 8.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 723 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Titan earns a 4.82/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, comprehensive safety features, and great warranty. They also frequently call out the truck’s comfort, performance on and off the road, and exceptional value compared with other brands.

The trade-offs are the limited bed and cab configurations and poor fuel economy. For you, that means the Titan makes the most sense if you want a straightforward full-size pickup with strong standard equipment rather than maximum configuration flexibility.

With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to find a solid value.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck people feel good about keeping, with repeated praise for its great warranty, powerful engine, and exceptional value. That kind of feedback usually lines up with a vehicle that owners feel they can count on over time.

The expert notes also support that impression by emphasizing the Titan’s straightforward, well-equipped character and its strong standard powertrain. Nissan’s five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty adds another ownership advantage for used buyers.

For you, the main long-term risk is that a truck with poor fuel economy and a more limited configuration lineup may not fit every ownership need as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Titan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and signs that the truck has been maintained consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Titan comes in 8 trim levels: S, SL, SV, Pro-4X, Platinum Reserve, S, SV, and Pro-4X. The base Titan S and next-higher Titan SV use dark grilles, while the SL gets a bright chrome grille and the Platinum Reserve gets a satin chrome one. The Pro-4X adds a black grille and lava-red tow hooks, so it has the most distinctive appearance and off-road character.
• Powertrain: You get one engine: a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The truck is also rated at 18 mpg combined, with 16 mpg city for rear-wheel drive and 15 mpg city for four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Every Titan includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, which bundles automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. It also adds forward-collision warning and parking sensors, while Around View Monitor, adaptive cruise control, driver-alertness monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and rear door alert are available.
• Infotainment: The standard screen is a 9.0-inch WXGA touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and satellite radio are standard. NissanConnect-equipped trucks can also get Nissan Concierge, and the system can be upgraded with navigation, HD Radio, additional USB ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-sliding rear window, remote start, and a household-style power outlet.
• Fuel efficiency: The Titan returns 18 mpg combined, with 16 mpg city for rear-wheel drive and 15 mpg city for four-wheel drive. That makes fuel costs an important part of your ownership math.

Which 2021 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gets the Titan’s core strengths, including the standard V8, the 9.0-inch touchscreen, and Nissan Safety Shield 360. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the Titan without giving up the essentials.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it keeps the Titan’s strong standard equipment while moving you into a more appealing middle ground. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the one to focus on.
• SL: This trim adds a brighter, more upscale look with a chrome grille and sits above the SV in the lineup. It suits you if you want a more polished appearance without jumping all the way to the top.
• Pro-4X: This is the off-road-focused choice, with a black grille, lava-red tow hooks, hill-descent control, and an electronic locking rear differential. Choose it if you want the most rugged Titan.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the most upscale Titan, with a satin chrome grille and satin chrome tailgate finishers. It’s the right pick if you want the most premium-looking version of the truck.

Every Titan includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, so even the lower trims start with a strong safety foundation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 723 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,199, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $29,199 sits slightly below last year's $32,021.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for buyers, which can help you if you’re shopping used now. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect pricing pressure if the market continues to favor buyers over sellers.

The Titan’s value story is still supported by its strong standard equipment, broad safety coverage, and high owner satisfaction. Those traits can help keep demand steady even when prices soften.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2021 Nissan Titan earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Forward-collision warning and parking sensors are also included, while Around View Monitor, adaptive cruise control, driver-alertness monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and rear door alert are available.

That means you get a strong standard safety package even before moving up the trim ladder. The main caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refreshed design, strong standard V8, and broad safety tech from the updated Titan formula.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $26,322, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $29,199 average.
• It brought major gains in technology, safety, and overall value.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,826, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,199 average.
• It adds a quieter cabin and a more polished feel.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-equipped full-size pickup, the 2021 is the primary year to target. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want a slightly newer alternative with a more refined cabin, the 2022 is worth a look.
