How much does the 2021 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 9.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 862 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Armada earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, spacious interior, and towing capability, and many also like the luxury feel and the big touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay. The Armada’s roomy, comfortable character fits buyers who want a large SUV with strong space and towing credentials.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is a weak point, and some features are not standard on lower trims. The overview also points to a capable but fuel-in-efficient daily driver, so you should expect strength and space more than efficiency.

The market shows 33.1% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as smooth, spacious, and capable, with language that points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers. The expert review also emphasizes that the Armada keeps its proven V8 and remains a capable daily driver, which supports the sense that it is built for long-term use.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not outright durability so much as living with its fuel costs and older-feeling interior design.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Armada?

At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage affected the structure, airbags, or safety systems. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the drivetrain, suspension, electronics, and any signs of uneven wear. Pay close attention to how the cabin and technology have aged, since the Armada’s appeal depends heavily on condition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Armada is offered in S, SV, SL, and Platinum grades. The base setup includes standard LED lighting, body-color over fenders, and an acoustic windshield and front side windows, while higher trims add larger wheels and more upscale equipment. The Platinum stands out for its quilted leather seating and more premium appointments.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, automatic four-wheel drive is available, and the engine delivers strong towing and passing power.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear door alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: The Armada gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, a WiFi hotspot, and NissanConnect Services. A wireless charging pad, Bose audio, rearview camera mirror, and second-row entertainment system are available.
• Fuel efficiency: Rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, while four-wheel-drive models are rated at 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.

Which 2021 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Armada is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Armada experience with the refreshed styling, standard safety tech, and the large touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model and can live without the extra luxury features.
• SV: This trim adds more everyday convenience and is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it balances price and equipment well. It is the trim to target if you want a more complete Armada without jumping to luxury pricing.
• SL: This is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale feel and the Midnight Edition Package is important to you. It also brings additional safety equipment, making it a strong middle ground for shoppers who want more content.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with the most premium interior materials and the most standard convenience features. Buy this one if you want the most fully equipped Armada and are willing to pay for it.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Armada?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 862 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $26,039 sits slightly below last year's $28,812.

That price movement suggests the Armada has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a newer, more expensive SUV. Strong condition and clean history will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada safe?

The 2021 Nissan Armada earns a three-star rollover rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear door alert are also standard.

A caveat to keep in mind is that the Armada has not been fully rated in nearly every crash category, so the available crash-test picture is incomplete. The lane departure warning system can also be overly zealous, which may affect day-to-day usability.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a freshened appearance and upgraded technology while keeping the same strong V8 character.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,161, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,039 average.
• It keeps the traditional body-on-frame formula while leaning into the Armada’s old-school mechanical feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because it combines lower pricing with updated tech and strong owner satisfaction. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2022 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who want the same basic formula with a later-year example.
