Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC for Sale nearTacoma, WA

How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 11.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,190 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.5/5, and our experts give it an 8/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, comfort, and advanced tech features, and many say the GLC feels stylish and well equipped. Those themes line up with its upscale cabin, premium materials, and polished everyday driving character.

The trade-offs are that the styling can feel uninspired, the base engine is underwhelming, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the GLC fits well if you want a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes refinement, technology, and comfort over outright sportiness.

Good and great deals account for 38.7% of listings, so there is still room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for comfort, useful technology, and a generally trouble-free ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters because it suggests you can count on the GLC to deliver the premium experience buyers expect over time.

The expert evaluation also describes the powertrain as generally responsive and refined, which supports the impression of a well-sorted SUV rather than one that feels fragile or overly complicated. If you’re shopping used, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance costs can run high, so service history matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on every candidate, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, especially interior wear, electronics, and signs that the vehicle has been maintained consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level GLC 300 includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a power liftgate, synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, dual USB ports, a fully digital instrument panel, and the MBUX infotainment system. It gives you the core luxury experience, but you’ll want to compare it carefully against better-equipped versions if you value more convenience features.
• Powertrain: The GLC 300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive or available 4MATIC all-wheel drive. It is tuned for a refined balance of comfort and responsiveness rather than hard-edged sportiness.
• Safety package: Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front- and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking assist, and a driver drowsiness monitor. Optional features include a 360-degree parking camera, dynamic cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane departure warning.
• Infotainment: The MBUX system uses a 10.25-inch center touchscreen, a center console touch controller, and voice control that can handle complex commands. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system is designed to be intuitive once you get used to it.
• Fuel efficiency: The base GLC 300 returns 22 mpg city, 29 highway, 25 combined, while the GLC 300 4MATIC returns 21 mpg city, 28 highway, 23 combined.

Which 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 4 trim levels: GLC 300, AMG GLC43, AMG GLC63, and GLC 300 4MATIC.

Here's the short version:

• GLC 300: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core GLC experience without stepping into performance pricing. It brings the standard luxury and tech features, plus the base powertrain that the data says is the most efficient version.
• GLC 300 4MATIC: Choose this if you want the same core package with all-wheel drive for added traction. It costs more than the rear-wheel-drive version, but it’s the better fit if you regularly drive in poor weather.
• AMG GLC43: This trim adds a more potent powertrain, 20-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, sport seats, and other performance upgrades. It suits you if you want a sharper driving feel and are willing to pay for it.
• AMG GLC63: This is the range-topper, adding a limited-slip differential, surround-view parking camera, navigation, and the Burmester sound system on top of the AMG upgrades. It’s the pick if you want the most equipment and the most aggressive character.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check carefully for the driver-assistance equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,762, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $25,762 sits slightly below last year's $29,174.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively than owners did a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

The good news is that the GLC still has the kind of broad appeal that helps support demand in the used market. Premium branding, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-rounded feature set can all help it hold attention when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns strong safety marks from the experts and comes with a broad standard driver-assistance suite.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front- and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking assist, and a driver drowsiness monitor. Optional safety features include a 360-degree parking camera, dynamic cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane departure warning.

One caveat is that the parking and proximity sensors can be overly sensitive, which may create distracting false alerts in tight traffic situations. That’s worth keeping in mind if you do a lot of urban driving or parking in crowded areas.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 combines an upscale cabin, advanced infotainment, and strong everyday comfort in a way that suits premium SUV shoppers.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,666, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $25,762 average.
• It remains aimed at buyers who want a compact luxury crossover with broad appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value story and the more up-to-date 2021 package, this is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core GLC formula.
