Used 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid cost?

Prices are up 1.35% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 175 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The UX Hybrid is best suited to you if you want a small luxury crossover that feels more like a refined commuter than a roomy family hauler. The overview and expert notes both point to a vehicle that prioritizes efficiency, comfort, and urban usability, while the hybrid system and standard all-wheel drive make it appealing for daily driving.

The trade-offs are clear: acceleration is sluggish, and the infotainment system is frustrating and unintuitive. The cramped back seat also limits its appeal if you regularly carry passengers.

The market shows 34.9% good or great deals, so there is still some room to find a competitive listing.

Is the 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The UX Hybrid’s reliability case is built around refinement, efficiency, and a straightforward hybrid powertrain rather than complexity. The expert notes emphasize that it is a comfortable, composed commuter with strong fuel economy, and the overview reinforces that it is aimed at everyday use rather than hard driving.

Its hybrid setup and standard all-wheel drive should make it a sensible ownership choice if you value predictable daily operation. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about whether the vehicle’s limited space and dated tech still fit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid?

At 74.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, wheels, and interior condition. Because this model is positioned as a refined commuter, you should also pay attention to how well the cabin electronics, seats, and hybrid system feel in real use. If you plan to carry passengers often, make sure the rear seat and cargo area still work for your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The UX Hybrid is offered in UX 250h AWD, UX 250h F-Sport AWD, UX 250h Luxury AWD, and UX 250h Black Line Special Edition. The base trim already includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, 18-inch wheels, aluminum roof rails, heated side mirrors, dual-zone climate control, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, pushbutton start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a six-speaker premium sound system. The Luxury trim adds a hands-free power rear hatch, acoustic glass, memory settings, heated and ventilated front seats, a power moonroof, and rain-sensing wipers. The F-Sport adds unique styling, sport seats, paddle shifters, and a sport-tuned suspension. The Black Line Special Edition adds dark accents and blue stitching and seat belts while giving back some Luxury content.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 181 combined horsepower. A CVT sends power to all four wheels, and the hybrid setup is tuned for efficiency and smooth around-town driving rather than quick highway passing.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. LED adaptive headlights, parking assist, a head-up display, and front-and-rear parking sensors are optional or reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: The UX uses Lexus Remote Touch with a touchpad controller, and the system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface has a steep learning curve, so you should test it carefully before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel economy is 41 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 39 mpg combined. In testing, it returned 41.2 mpg.

Which 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: UX 250h AWD, UX 250h F-Sport AWD, UX 250h Luxury AWD, and UX 250h Black Line Special Edition.

Here's the short version:

• UX 250h AWD: This is the best-value choice if you want the core UX Hybrid experience without paying for extras. You still get the standard hybrid powertrain, all-wheel drive, and the full set of basic comfort and tech features, so it covers the essentials well.
• UX 250h F-Sport AWD: Choose this if you care most about styling and a sportier cabin presentation. It adds unique exterior treatment, sport seats, paddle shifters, and a sport-tuned suspension, but the content makes clear that the performance gains are limited.
• UX 250h Luxury AWD: This is the trim to buy if comfort features matter most. The hands-free rear hatch, heated and ventilated front seats, memory settings, acoustic glass, and moonroof make it the most upscale version.
• UX 250h Black Line Special Edition: Pick this if you want a more distinctive look and are comfortable with a package that gives back some Luxury content in exchange for dark-themed styling details.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already well covered on the lower trims.

What is the 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $28,212 sits slightly above last year's $27,836.

That upward move suggests the UX Hybrid has held value reasonably well for a used luxury hybrid crossover. If you buy carefully and keep mileage and condition in check, you should have a decent chance of preserving value when it is time to sell.

The price range also matters: the current market sits close to the year-round high, which can support resale if demand stays steady. A model with this kind of efficiency-focused appeal can remain attractive to future shoppers who want a compact luxury commuter.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Lexus UX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.35% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model stands out for its standard all-wheel drive, strong efficiency, and well-equipped safety package.

The bottom line: If you want a refined, efficient small luxury crossover and can live with the sluggish acceleration and cramped rear seat, the 2021 UX Hybrid is the right path to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping for the cleanest example you can find and compare it carefully against lower-priced listings, since the market still offers some deal opportunities.
