How much does the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 18.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 815 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Its appeal starts with stylish design and a premium interior, and it also offers multiple powertrain options so you can tailor the SUV to your preferences. The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, the touchscreen response is sluggish, and advanced safety features are not standard.

For you, that means this is best if you want a distinctly upscale SUV with broad capability and a luxury-first cabin rather than a value-focused daily driver. 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Range Rover’s appeal is reinforced by its premium character and its ability to handle a wide range of driving conditions with confidence. Its performance setup includes a robust powertrain lineup, and the cabin is designed to feel suitably upscale for long-term ownership.

The maintenance and ownership experience can still be expensive, so your biggest long-term risk as a used buyer is paying luxury-SUV costs for upkeep and repairs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a vehicle with this much technology and complexity. Focus on overall condition, because the Range Rover’s luxury features and advanced systems can be costly to sort out if they’ve been neglected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The HSE Westminster special edition adds a more upscale presentation, and the base setup leaves advanced driver aids optional rather than standard.
• Powertrain: You can find turbodiesel V6, supercharged 5.0-liter V8, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid choices; the HSE Westminster uses a mild-hybrid turbocharged inline-six with 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, and a speed limiter for the cruise control. The Drive Pack adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The system uses dual 10-inch touchscreens, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and includes a relatively comprehensive head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested model returned 20 mpg in combined driving, and the supercharged V8 is rated at 16 mpg city, 21 highway, and 18 combined.

Which 2021 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 1 trim level: HSE Westminster.

Here's the short version:

The HSE Westminster is the trim to focus on if you want the most complete version described here, because it combines the mild-hybrid turbocharged inline-six with a more upscale special-edition presentation and strong equipment content. It suits you best if you want the Range Rover experience without chasing the most expensive personalization path.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that advanced driver aids are not standard, so you should look for a truck equipped with the Drive Pack or higher if those features matter to you.

What is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $39,683 sits slightly below last year's $48,692.

That drop suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2021 Range Rover earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2021 Range Rover model includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, and a speed limiter for the cruise control. The Drive Pack adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system, while the Drive Pro Pack adds active blind-spot monitoring, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and high-speed automatic emergency braking.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to check the equipment list carefully on any used example. The adaptive cruise control can also be slow to respond when traffic ahead clears.

Should I buy a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

Choose the 2021 if:

• 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines stylish design, a premium interior, and multiple powertrain options.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $33,296, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $39,683 average.
• It adds incremental infotainment and safety updates.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $53,681, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $39,683 average.
• It brings a redesign with a simpler interior and better technology.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and satisfaction, the 2021 is the strongest starting point. If your priority is spending less, the 2020 is the value play; if you want the newer redesign and can stretch the budget, the 2022 is the upgrade path.
