Used 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearKnoxville, TN

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 8.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,622 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — with a 4.33/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating, you’re looking at a small SUV that lands well with shoppers who value style and tech. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the sporty design, good gas economy, and spacious interior, and they also like the strong standard feature set. The trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine, uncomfortable seats, and limited cargo space.

That lines up with the Trailblazer’s role as an affordable, personality-rich entry point in Chevrolet’s SUV lineup, especially if you want something more distinctive than a plain commuter crossover. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise for the Trailblazer’s good gas economy and spacious interior. The expert evaluation adds that the SUV is easy to live with and that its technology is simple and intuitive, which supports everyday confidence.

Chevrolet also includes your first maintenance visit free of charge, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you avoid a neglected example, especially given reports of water leakage in some units.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for water intrusion, interior wear, and any signs that the vehicle has been driven hard or poorly maintained. Focus on condition first, because the Trailblazer’s value depends heavily on finding one that has been cared for properly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The L, LS, and LT are the more basic versions, while Activ and RS bring the more distinctive appearance and equipment. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more features.
• Powertrain: The front-wheel-drive L, LS, and LT use a turbocharged 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while other versions use a turbocharged 1.3-liter 3-cylinder with 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. AWD swaps in a 9-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision alert with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a safe following distance indicator. Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert and lane-change assistance, a high-definition reversing camera, and adaptive cruise control depend on trim level.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth pairing for two phones, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, Teen Driver, and a WiFi hotspot. An available upgrade for Activ and RS adds an 8-inch display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, and cloud-connected personalization.
• Fuel efficiency: The testing loop returned 26.6 mpg for the Activ AWD, and the official combined rating is 28 mpg.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, and it makes sense only if you want the lowest-cost way into the Trailblazer lineup. You get the standard 1.2-liter turbo engine, but you’ll miss out on the more appealing equipment and personality found higher up.
• LS: This is the value-minded step up if you want the Trailblazer’s core strengths without stretching too far. It keeps the affordable positioning while giving you a better balance of features than the L.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it sits in the sweet spot between price and equipment. It’s also one of the trims that can be paired with AWD, which broadens its appeal.
• Activ: This is the trim to choose if you want the rugged look and the more distinctive personality. It adds the tougher exterior treatment and is the version most clearly aimed at style-conscious buyers.
• RS: This is the sportiest-looking version, and it suits you if appearance matters most. It also sits among the trims that can be paired with AWD.

Chevrolet Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, but some driver-assistance features still depend on trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,622 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,006, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $17,006 sits slightly below last year's $18,556.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer has already moved through a meaningful part of its depreciation curve. If you buy well now, you may be starting from a more favorable price base than a shopper who paid closer to last year’s average.

For a future seller, the key will be condition and trim appeal. A clean, well-equipped example should hold up better than a rough one, especially because shoppers still respond to the Trailblazer’s style and technology.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The Trailblazer earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward-collision alert with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a safe following distance indicator. You also get 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, Teen Driver technology, and subscription-based automatic collision notification service.

Some helpful features still depend on trim level, including blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert and lane-change assistance, a high-definition reversing camera, and adaptive cruise control. The expert review also notes that lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist can be inconsistent, and adaptive cruise control can be over- and under-reactive.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It introduced Chevrolet’s new entry-point SUV with strong technology and a stylish, youthful personality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,835, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $17,006 average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a dealer-installed trailering package.

The 2021 is the better pick if you want the lower price and strong deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a few added conveniences, the 2022 is the cleaner upgrade path, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2021’s softer market and broader value.
