The T6, also a 4-cylinder, is supercharged and turbocharged, making 316 hp and 295 lb-ft. The T8 plug-in hybrid adds an electric motor and boasts a combined output of 400 hp and 472 lb-ft. Each engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The T5 comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) with the option of all-wheel drive (AWD). AWD comes standard with T6 and T8 engines. The FWD T5 offers up 23 mpg city, 35 highway, and 27 combined. The T6 drops to 21, 31, and 25. The T8 offers 71 MPGe in hybrid mode or 29 combined.
The S90 features keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Additional options include ventilated and heated rear seats and a premium audio system.
The 2019 Volvo S90 fared well when crash-tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), earning Good scores in several categories.
