How much does the 2020 RAM 3500 cost?

There are 890 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The owner feedback highlights power and towing capacity, comfort in the interior, and advanced features like the large display. That lines up well with the truck’s use-case as a heavy-duty model that still aims to feel comfortable enough for daily driving. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary also points to a truck that many drivers find reliable and dependable in everyday use, especially when it comes to heavy-duty performance and long-term ownership confidence. At the same time, some owners mention mechanical concerns involving the CP4 pump and DPF filter, so used buyers should factor in maintenance history and potential repair exposure before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 RAM 3500?

At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on mechanical condition, maintenance records, and any signs of heavy-duty wear, especially if the truck was used for towing or commercial work. Pay close attention to overall condition rather than just mileage, since this model’s capability can mean harder use than a typical pickup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $44,887, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $44,919 sits slightly below last year's $51,083.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For future resale, the key is to choose a well-kept truck with strong documentation, because heavy-duty pickups can hold buyer interest when they present as clean and well maintained. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot in protecting value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner satisfaction and a softer market than last year, the 2020 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and be ready to move quickly when you find a clean truck with solid history and maintenance records.
