Overview

Nissan celebrates the 370Z's 50th birthday with a special 50th Anniversary Edition package for 2020. The 50th Anniversary 370Z gets either white and red or silver and black color schemes that pay homage to the famous BRE Datsun race cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The package also comes with red wheel accents, black painted mirrors, special interior and exterior badges, and special interior accents like red stitching and a leather or Alcantara steering wheel with a red stripe at the top.
The other big news for 2020 is that Nissan dropped the slow-selling 370Z roadster for the U.S. market. The sporty NISMO trim is still available with its body kit, larger forged alloy wheels, better handling, and bump in engine power. Other submodels for the 2020 Nissan 370Z include base, Sport, and Sport Touring.
Under the rounded hood of the 370Z is the familiar 3.7-liter naturally aspirated V6, which makes 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving the rear wheels. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, but a popular option is the 7-speed automatic.
With a manual, the 370Z will manage 17 mpg city, 26 highway, and 20 combined. With an automatic, it will manage 19, 26, and 22. The Sport trim and above get a limited-slip differential, while the NISMO version gets an 18-hp boost, a refined suspension, a strut tower brace, performance dampers, and better brakes.
On the inside, standard features for the base trim include keyless ignition and a 6-speaker stereo with Bluetooth. The Sport submodel adds a better Bose stereo, while the 50th Anniversary Edition offers leather-and-suede seats, heated seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4-way power driver's seat. At the top of the 370Z range, the NISMO gets leather-appointed Recaro seats with Alcantara accents.
The 370Z hasn’t been crash tested, and safety features are limited to a reversing camera and a tire-pressure-monitoring system.
With the new 50th Anniversary Trim, the 2020 Nissan 370Z is celebrating in style.

Great car. Syncrorev is nice. Pretty sparse on amenities but I know that is how Nissan keeps price down. Handles great and very quick. Will be great on open roads.

Is the 2020 Nissan 370Z a good car?
Yes — the 2020 Nissan 370Z earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which fits its role as a straightforward, old-school sports car with a strong enthusiast following. Its appeal comes from the mix of sleek styling, a tight cockpit, and a driving experience that prioritizes engagement over convenience. You also get a powerful V6, a rear-wheel-drive layout, and an available six-speed manual with rev matching, so the car is built around driver involvement rather than modern gadgetry. It is especially appealing if you want a sports car that feels special without being exotic. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.
Is the 2020 Nissan 370Z reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2020 Nissan 370Z is described as having a reputation for reliability, and its straightforward, analog design is part of why many buyers value it. It also has a reputation for being easy to modify, which can be a plus if you want a car you can personalize without getting into exotic-car complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a car that has been modified, driven hard, or maintained inconsistently, so condition and service history matter a lot.
What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan 370Z?
At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize an inspection that checks for signs of collision repair, uneven panel gaps, and wear that does not match the mileage. Because this car is chosen for its driving character, you should also focus on how it feels on the road: listen for unusual noises, confirm the manual transmission and rev-matching behavior if equipped, and make sure the car’s condition matches the enthusiast image it projects.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan 370Z?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop with patience and compare condition closely.
- Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 62 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 59.7% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2020 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2020 if:
- 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2020 Nissan 370Z makes the most sense if you want the classic Z-Car formula: style, engagement, and a focused driving experience. If that is your priority, the 2020 is the right kind of car to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby years and choose the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
