You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize any listing with clean records and consistent maintenance. What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA's resale value?

The current average of $18,111 sits slightly below last year's $20,142.

That price decline suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For you, that means the biggest resale advantage comes from choosing a clean, well-kept example and avoiding overpaying today. A lower entry price can make it easier to limit your loss when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,631, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,111 average.
• It was completely redesigned into a more conventional small SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it costs less and is easier to shop for a deal. If you’re willing to spend more for the redesigned shape and a more traditional SUV feel, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
