Used 2020 Jeep Renegade for Sale nearMonticello, AR

How much does the 2020 Jeep Renegade cost?

Prices have softened 10.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,435 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Jeep Renegade a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Jeep Renegade earns a 4.33/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, comfort, and spacious interior, and they also like how it handles highways and tougher terrain. The overview points to the same appeal: distinctive Jeep styling and available off-road capability give it more personality than many small SUVs. The trade-offs are clear, though: performance is fairly pedestrian, the transmission can be irritating, and value for money is weak.

With its easy-to-use tech and trail-ready character, it makes the most sense if you want a small SUV with personality rather than a purely practical appliance. Good and great deals account for 32.1% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Jeep Renegade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels smooth, comfortable, and capable on highways and rougher roads, which supports the idea that it can be a dependable daily driver for the right buyer. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Renegade’s technology is easy to use and that its off-road capability is a core part of its appeal. Jeep also notes big rebates and discounts on this model, which can soften the ownership cost if you buy carefully.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability than about living with the transmission, fuel economy, and overall value proposition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Jeep Renegade?

At 71.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with off-road use. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the equipment you want is actually present, since the Renegade’s appeal depends heavily on trim and option content. If you’re shopping for a used one, make sure the features you care about still work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Primary trim levels include Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk, and the Trailhawk is the version best for off-roading. The base Sport starts at a lower price point, but the cabin still shows hard plastic and a fairly plain look, while higher trims can add a more upscale feel with features like a panoramic glass roof, full LED lighting, and contrast stitching.
• Powertrain: Most Renegades use a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, while higher trims can get a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder with 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic is standard, and the turbo setup brings stronger low-end torque but also some lag and hesitation.
• Safety package: The Advanced Tech Group adds adaptive cruise control, full-speed forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, automatic high-beam headlights, and parking assist. The Safety and Security Group adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The Renegade uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. It also offers a driver information center and available parking assist.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged 1.3-liter averaged 23.6 mpg in testing versus an EPA estimate of 26 mpg combined, and it uses premium fuel. The fuel tank is small at 12.7 gallons, which limits real-world range.

Which 2020 Jeep Renegade trim should I buy?

The 2020 Jeep Renegade is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it’s mainly for shoppers who want the lowest starting price and are willing to give up the richer equipment and more distinctive personality found higher up the range.
• Latitude: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it moves you beyond the bare-bones setup without pushing you into the most expensive versions.
• Limited: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more of the Renegade’s comfort and appearance upgrades.
• Trailhawk: This is the one to buy if off-road capability is your priority, since it’s the version best suited to that role.

Safety-package note: the Advanced Tech Group and Safety and Security Group add most of the key driver-assistance features, and some of those items are not standard on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Renegade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,435 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,625, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Renegade's resale value?

The current average of $14,629 sits slightly below last year's $16,357.

That decline suggests the Renegade has softened in the used market, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s distinctive styling and loyal audience can still support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Jeep Renegade safe?

The Renegade earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, and in side-impact testing, rear-seat occupants are protected at a three-star level. In IIHS testing, it earns commendable scores in most tests, but it does not carry forward its Top Safety Pick rating from 2019 due to more stringent requirements for 2020.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Advanced Tech Group adds adaptive cruise control, full-speed forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, automatic high-beam headlights, and parking assist. The Safety and Security Group adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning.

One caveat is that some of the safety tech is fairly rudimentary compared with newer rivals, and the forward-collision warning can be abrupt.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Renegade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines distinctive Jeep styling with available Trail Rated off-road capability and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,217, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $14,629 average.
• It adds practical utility and intuitive technology for everyday use.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2020 is the better value play. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2021 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who want a similar Jeep identity with a slightly more modern package.
