The Jaguar XF Sportbrake, first released in 2018, continues into 2020 with no major changes. Minor changes include new exterior paint colors Eiger Grey and Portofino Blue. It competes with other large luxury wagons like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon and Volvo V90.
Beneath the XF Sportbrake’s sleek roof lies seating for 5 people. The cargo area measures 31.7 cubic feet with the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat in use, or 69.7 with it stowed. Adding to the practicality, roof rails come standard on every version.
Jaguar offers the XF Sportbrake in Prestige and S trims, and these dictate the engine beneath the hood. The Prestige comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 295 horsepower and 296 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the S packs a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 380 hp and 332 lb-ft. Both trims come with an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive (AWD). The V6 returns 18 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined.
The base Prestige includes 19-inch wheels, keyless access and start, HID headlights with LED signatures, perforated leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, a suede-like headliner, gloss black trim, a 380-watt Meridian sound system, and a 10-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The S upgrades the XF Sportbrake with 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LED headlights, and “S” badging. You can then add ambient lighting, soft-door close, heated rear seats, and 4-zone climate control.
All XF Sportbrakes come with a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic detection, driver-condition monitoring, a 360-degree camera, parking assistance, and adaptive cruise control are all optional. Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has crash-tested the XF Sportbrake, but that isn’t unusual for niche vehicles.
The XF Sportbrake is a unique choice for those that want the grace and pace of a Jaguar with plenty of practical space.

(1 reviews)My previous vehicle was an Audi A6 Avant so switching to the Jaguar XF Sportbrake has left me feel somewhat lacking in performance not to say the Jaguar XF Sportbrake isn’t sporty it is very much so but not like the Audi if your used to that.
