How much does the 2020 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 8.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,201 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its blend of style, performance, and functionality, along with its power, comfortable ride, and high-tech features. It also fits well if you want a compact luxury SUV that still feels practical for everyday use, though some owners note that cargo space is a bit tighter than in larger models. With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s overall quality and everyday usability. That said, used buyers should still plan for a careful inspection so you can reduce long-term ownership risk and catch any wear-related issues early.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 BMW X3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for prior damage, maintenance gaps, and any signs of uneven wear. Pay close attention to overall condition, especially electronics, since that’s where careful buyers can spot issues before they become expensive surprises. It also helps to compare multiple listings so you can judge whether the asking price matches the vehicle’s condition and history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 BMW X3?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,199, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $21,199 sits slightly below last year's $23,245.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, condition and documentation will matter more because buyers tend to reward clean history and strong presentation when prices are already soft. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,070, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,199 average.
• It adds more standard safety features and newer in-car tech.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for newer standard safety and tech, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
