How much does the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,791 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its safety features, interior comfort, and practical everyday usability. The overview also highlights its simple, capable, easy-to-live-with character, which fits well if you want a compact crossover that emphasizes confidence and versatility over flash.

With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary describes it as reliable and enjoyable to drive, and it also points to trouble-free ownership as part of the appeal. That lines up with the model’s reputation for being a dependable choice for buyers who want a vehicle they can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was minor or structural. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of poor repairs, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance.

Focus especially on overall condition, because a clean-looking listing can still hide past damage or deferred upkeep. If you are comparing multiple examples, the best one is usually the one with the strongest documentation, not just the lowest price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile deals.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,791 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,810, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $17,319 sits slightly below last year's $18,310.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the vehicle. A clean history, strong maintenance records, and good overall condition should matter more when it is time to sell.

Because the market still shows steady demand and a meaningful share of listings are viewed as good or great deals, a well-kept Crosstrek should remain appealing to used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,896, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,319 average.
• It emphasizes durability, practicality, and a more rugged first-redesign feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the stronger overall value balance and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one with a clean history and solid maintenance records.
