Used 2019 Porsche Macan for Sale near Seattle, WA
The Macan is the smallest of Porsche's two crossovers, competing with similarly sized vehicles like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Jaguar F-Pace, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. For 2019, the Macan gets a major update.
The Macan gets updates to the front and rear and the grille is more aggressive than last year’s, with squared off side intakes and corner fins that add visual drama and help cheat the wind. Inside, the biggest change is to the center stack. It gets a redesigned infotainment system, measuring 10.9 inches, which is nearly 4 inches larger than the previous unit. The Macan’s sleek shape is responsible for its meager 17.7 cubic feet of cargo space, but standard 40/20/40 split-folding seats expand that number to 53.
Only the Base and S trims return for 2019. The Base trim sees a return of the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder, making an identical 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It’ll reach 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, decreasing to 6.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package. Meanwhile, the S trim swaps last year’s twin-turbo V6 for a new single-turbo unit that puts out 348 hp and 354 lb-ft. It also benefits from slightly beefier brakes. The 0-60 mph time for the S grade decreases to 5.1 seconds and 4.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. Porsche’s 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission comes standard, as does all-wheel drive (AWD) across all trims. Finally, in typical Porsche fashion, there is a host of invisible upgrades made to the suspension, steering, and transmission, which should translate to a sharper and more refined feel behind the wheel. There aren’t yet official fuel-economy ratings for the 2019 Macan, but they should at least match the 2018 numbers of 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined with premium fuel.
Standard features include bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime-running lights, LED taillights, 8-way front power seats, 18-inch wheels, a 10-speaker sound system, dual USB ports, satellite radio, 11 GB of music storage, a garage-door opener, and a power liftgate. You’ll pay extra for full leather upholstery, 18-way power adaptive front sport seats with memory, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, and keyless access.
The Macan’s safety features include a reversing camera and front and rear parking sensors. A surround-view camera, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control are available as options. As of this writing, the Macan hasn’t been crash-tested.
The Macan continues to distill a healthy amount of performance and driving feedback into a daily drivable vehicle. The 2019 updates should keep it looking and feeling fresh.
