Is the 2019 Nissan Versa a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Nissan Versa earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a budget-focused car. Owners commonly praise its economical value, reliability, and usefulness as basic transportation, especially for new drivers and budget-conscious shoppers. The main tradeoff is that some drivers describe it as basic and dated, so you should expect practicality over polish. Is the 2019 Nissan Versa reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

That makes it a sensible choice if you want a car you can count on for everyday use without stretching your budget. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Versa?

At 58.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint match, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could hint at past collision work. Because this model is often bought as basic transportation, condition matters more than extras, so focus on maintenance records and overall mechanical health.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Versa?

This looks like a moderate buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 509 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,500, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Versa's resale value?

The current average of $9,547 sits slightly below last year's $9,804.

That softer pricing suggests the model is holding value reasonably well for a budget car, but not strongly enough to signal rising demand. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in clean condition, you should be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The current market also suggests that buyers remain price-sensitive, so a well-kept example with a fair asking price should still attract attention.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Versa or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $10,824, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $9,547 average.
• It adds improved infotainment, better safety tech, and a livelier ride.

The bottom line: If your priority is the lowest possible purchase price, the 2019 is the better starting point. If you can spend more for a newer feel and more modern features, the 2020 is the stronger upgrade path.
