Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes value, comfort, and a smooth driving experience, along with fuel economy and useful technology. Those are the kinds of traits that usually matter most when you want a car you can count on day after day.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about excitement and more about finding a well-kept example that still feels solid and comfortable.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

At 56.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records.

Focus on overall condition, ride quality, and signs of wear inside the cabin, since comfort and everyday usability are central to this model’s appeal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,562 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,015, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $10,015 sits slightly below last year's $10,778.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you plan to resell later, the current trend points to a model that holds value best when it is clean, well maintained, and attractively priced.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $14,514, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $10,015 average.
• It brings a more upscale look with major upgrades in style, technology, and driving dynamics.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want a more modern-feeling Sentra, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
