Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.33/5 user rating, which lines up with its practical appeal as a three-row midsize SUV. The overview points to a spacious interior, family-friendly layout, strong towing ability, and a V6 engine that prioritizes capability and everyday usefulness over fuel savings. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want room, versatility, and a comfort-first family hauler rather than a fuel-efficient commuter. 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the Pathfinder’s broader reputation in this generation as a balance of affordability and practicality, with a reliable V6 powertrain. It also notes that some earlier models in the lineup had CVT concerns, so a careful test drive and maintenance review remain important when you’re evaluating a used example. For you, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle’s service history supports the condition you see on the road.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage lines up with the seller’s disclosure. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past repairs, then make sure the drivetrain and transmission feel smooth during a thorough test drive. Because this model is valued for practicality and capability, condition matters a lot when you’re comparing similar listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Pathfinder?

What is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $13,592 sits slightly below last year's $15,533.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the Pathfinder’s value will likely depend on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and service records. A clean history and strong maintenance documentation should matter more to future buyers when the market is already showing softer pricing.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.

The bottom line:

If you want a roomy, practical three-row SUV and you find a well-kept 2019 Pathfinder with strong service history, this year is a sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers more value for the money, but the 2019 already sits in a favorable spot for shoppers who prioritize space and utility.
