The 2019 Senna, inspired by the late racing champion Ayrton Senna, has just one focus: to offer the fastest and purest track experience.

The Senna features a feather-light carbon-fiber shell and a towering rear end to help it cheat the wind. Inside, the Senna includes a pair of lightweight racing seats and minimal controls all focused toward the driver.

Of course, a supercar is nothing without a potent engine, and the Senna gets McLaren’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that puts out an amazing 789 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. It transmits power to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The Senna offers McLaren's RaceActive Chassis Control II system, which consists of an adjustable hydraulic suspension, and a Race mode that lowers the car’s ride height. Finally, the Senna includes next-generation carbon-fiber brake discs and bespoke Pirelli tires. The Senna rockets to 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 208 mph.

As a track machine, the Senna’s list of creature comforts is rather light, but you still get power windows, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a touchscreen infotainment system. The list of options includes 6-point racing harnesses in place of the ordinary seatbelts.
