Is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its powerful performance, luxurious features, comfort, and smooth ride. The model’s upscale cabin and performance-focused personality make it a fit if you want a luxury SUV that feels special and capable, especially when you value refinement and versatility over mainstream practicality. Is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a generally positive ownership experience, with praise for the SUV’s power, comfort, and luxury. The same feedback also points to concerns about maintenance and condition in used examples, so reliability depends heavily on how well a specific vehicle has been cared for. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about avoiding a neglected example with expensive repair needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

At 74.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you want to catch wear, deferred maintenance, or signs of poor repair quality. Focus closely on overall condition, because used luxury SUVs can vary widely in how they were maintained.

If you find a listing below $25,420, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $25,420 sits slightly below last year's $30,214.

That decline suggests the model has lost value faster than many shoppers would prefer, which can work against you if you plan to sell in the near future. On the other hand, the lower entry price can make it easier to buy at a discount today. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you may help protect more of its remaining value. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,060, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $25,420 average.
• It adds plug-in hybrid efficiency while keeping the Range Rover Sport’s upscale, capable character.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the lower purchase price and a strong mix of owner satisfaction, deal availability, and luxury appeal. If you’re willing to spend more for added efficiency and a newer model-year feel, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
