Used 2019 Kia Sportage for Sale nearHouston, TX

How much does the 2019 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 8.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,582 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Kia Sportage earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its smooth ride, comfortable cabin, and spacious interior, and many also like the good handling and upscale feel for the price. It fits well if you want a practical compact SUV for family use with a more polished driving experience than you might expect in this class. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Sportage feels dependable in everyday use, with a comfortable, trouble-free driving experience that many buyers can count on. That kind of consistent praise matters if you want a used SUV that should feel familiar and easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and solid maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and anything that suggests the vehicle may have been in a collision. You should also focus on cabin condition and road-test behavior so you can judge whether the SUV still delivers the smooth, comfortable feel owners like.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,582 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,944, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $12,944 sits slightly below last year's $14,103.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can reduce the impact of that softer market. The Sportage’s broad appeal as a comfortable, practical compact SUV should still help support demand among future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2019 is a sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest one available.
