The current average of $15,269 sits slightly below last year's $18,054.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, a lower purchase price can reduce your exposure to depreciation. Strong condition and clean history will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jaguar E-PACE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,352, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,269 average.
• The 2018 stands out as a stylish, fun-to-drive compact luxury SUV with strong appeal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value path and still gives you the core appeal of this model line.
