Reviewed a 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric on Jun 20, 2021
I got the ultimate trim and love it. It has adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist so I barely have to do anything on the highway. The car drives itself as long as Im paying attention for emergency intervention. The regen braking is great and Ive quickly gotten used to 1 pedal driving thanks to the panel shifter that acts as a hand break. My 1 complaint about this vehicle is it caps out charging speed fairly early compared to other EVs. Around 60% charge it will cut down the speed of a DC fast charger by almost half. For example a fast charger by my home starts at 20kw then when I get around 60% charge it drops to 11kw. This is normal in EVs but most start limiting the current closer to 70% not 60%. Overall this is a fantastic EV and I highly recommend it!
