Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — 4.95/5 is a very strong user rating, and owners consistently praise the Odyssey for its spacious interior, comfort, and family-friendly features. The review summary also highlights its safety equipment and technology, including a backup camera and built-in DVD player, which fit well with its family-focused layout and seating for seven or eight. For shoppers who want a practical minivan with everyday usability and a long list of convenience features, that combination is compelling. With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.95/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners repeatedly describing it as comfortable and family-friendly while also praising its safety and technology. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for daily use, especially if you want a minivan that feels well suited to long-term family duty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and has not picked up hidden wear from heavy family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tires, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past repairs or hard use. You should also focus on cabin condition and family-use wear, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well the interior has held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,566 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,442, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $21,656 sits slightly below last year's $23,458.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Odyssey’s strong owner satisfaction and family-focused appeal should help it stay in demand among used minivan shoppers. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance records in good shape, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.95/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.95/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,589, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $21,656 average.
• It adds a redesigned, more refined take on the Odyssey formula.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and inventory, the 2019 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the more budget-friendly path and still offers a compelling family-minivan package.
