How much does the 2019 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 10.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,274 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its unique design, safety features, and value for money. Reviewers also highlight the attractive looks and interior features, and the model’s compact-SUV packaging makes it appealing if you want a comfortable, well-equipped vehicle that feels a bit more premium than many rivals.

With a roomy cabin and a focus on comfort, safety, and style, it fits you best if those priorities matter more than maximum cargo space or outright power. 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on confidence, stability, and value. That kind of response suggests the Terrain has earned trust from people living with it day to day, especially among buyers who want a compact SUV they can count on.

For used buyers, that generally lowers long-term ownership risk, though you should still verify maintenance history and condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

At 66.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection and pay close attention to body panels, paint consistency, interior wear, and signs of uneven repair work.

Because this model is often chosen for comfort and features, make sure the specific vehicle you’re considering still feels solid and well cared for in everyday use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,079, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $15,079 sits slightly below last year's $16,903.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has softened in the used market, which can make it easier for you to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re a future seller, the current trend means you should expect buyers to be price conscious and compare your vehicle closely against similar listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $13,784, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,079 average.
• The 2018 offers a more comfort-focused, spacious-feeling ownership experience.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger overall ownership appeal and are comfortable shopping carefully for a clean example. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2018 is the better price-sensitive path, but you should weigh that savings against the 2019’s stronger market appeal.
