How much does the 2019 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 10.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,246 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its unique design, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the attractive looks and interior features. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want a compact SUV with a more premium feel, a roomy cabin, and a comfort-and-style focus rather than maximum utility. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that it feels dependable, with praise centered on safety, stability, and a trouble-free ownership experience. That kind of response suggests you can count on it for everyday use if you choose a well-kept example. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the specific vehicle you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your condition check on bodywork, interior wear, and how the vehicle drives, since those details will tell you more than the photos alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,246 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,041, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $15,041 sits slightly below last year's $16,847.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit near-term downside if you buy at the right price. If you plan to resell later, a lower entry price can make it easier to stay ahead of the curve. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand steady in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $13,753, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,041 average.
• It offers a conceptually appealing compact crossover with comfort, spaciousness, and available features.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger overall ownership appeal, better market support, and a more polished used-shopping case. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2018 can make sense, but you should be more selective about condition and value.
