How much does the 2018 Subaru WRX cost?

There are 664 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 4.92/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the WRX for its fun driving experience, strong performance, excellent handling, and accessible power, which fits its role as a practical sport compact with rally roots and standard all-wheel drive. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a daily driver that still feels entertaining on a back road. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.92/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers count on for enjoyable, repeatable use, with reliability-adjacent praise centered on its dependable performance and trouble-free ownership experience. That said, the WRX’s enthusiast focus means you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and how the car was driven. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is finding a car that has been used hard without the upkeep to match.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Subaru WRX?

At 56.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence of poor repairs. Because this model is often bought by enthusiasts, condition matters as much as mileage, so you’ll want to pay close attention to how well the car has been maintained and whether it still feels tight and well sorted.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Subaru WRX?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,025, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $17,410 sits slightly below last year's $18,132.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value against further softening. Demand should remain supported by the WRX’s enthusiast appeal and standard all-wheel drive, especially among shoppers looking for a practical performance car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.92/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
