How much does the 2018 Porsche Cayenne cost?

There are 593 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2018 Cayenne is described as a luxury SUV that blends strong performance with the polish Porsche buyers expect, and it keeps the second-generation formula with revised styling, standard all-wheel drive, and an automatic transmission. It also fits buyers who want performance and refinement, while accepting tradeoffs like higher cost, limited cargo space, and fewer standard features.

With 32.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from if you want to be selective.

Is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Cayenne is described as having a reputation for build quality and dependability, and the broader generation is noted for very few recalls. The source also says the most serious problems were addressed immediately, which supports confidence in the model’s overall durability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic reliability and more about the cost of keeping a premium SUV in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Porsche Cayenne?

At 72.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on condition, repair quality, and signs of deferred maintenance. Because this model can be costly to maintain, you should pay close attention to how well the vehicle has been cared for rather than just how it looks in photos.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 593 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,446, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $22,446 sits slightly below last year's $25,214.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you shop carefully now, you may have a better chance of limiting how much value you lose later. The Cayenne’s premium positioning can still support demand, but resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want a Cayenne with strong owner satisfaction, softer pricing, and a broad enough listing pool to shop carefully. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 is the better fit when you want a balance of value, confidence, and the Cayenne’s core performance-and-luxury appeal.
