Used 2018 Nissan Altima for Sale nearFort Lauderdale, FL

How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 4.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,011 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Altima earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, good fuel economy, and spacious trunk, and the model’s comfort and technology features fit well if you want a practical midsize sedan for everyday commuting and family use. The market also shows 27.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also highlights dependable everyday comfort, good fuel economy, and a generally trouble-free driving experience for many shoppers. At the same time, some reviews mention transmission concerns and maintenance-related issues, so you should treat a used example as a condition-sensitive purchase rather than assuming every car has been equally cared for. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a neglected car with hidden wear or deferred maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

At 49.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any accident or repair history. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could point to deferred upkeep, especially around the transmission and battery-related systems. A clean-looking listing is not enough on its own, so verify the car’s background and mechanical condition before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,011 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,588, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $10,923 sits slightly below last year's $11,441.

That softer pricing suggests the model has lost some value over time, which can be a drawback if you plan to sell soon. For you, that means resale expectations should stay realistic, especially if you buy at the higher end of the market. On the other hand, lower entry pricing can help offset future depreciation if you keep the car for several years.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,580, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $10,923 average.
• It brings a major redesign with a more upscale cabin and more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the smarter starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-generation upgrade, the 2019 is the better secondary path for buyers who care more about modernization than price.
