At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was minor or structural. Because this model is often chosen for its upscale feel and dependability, condition matters a lot when you’re comparing similar-priced listings.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.57% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the right pick if you want the updated first-generation NX with stronger standard equipment and a solid satisfaction record. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the model year alone.
