How much does the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Generally — with a 4.3/5 user rating, this model year lands as a strong choice if you want a luxury SUV that blends high-end style with genuine off-road credibility. The overview points to a more attainable alternative to the flagship Range Rover, while still emphasizing performance and a premium cabin. It also highlights a lighter, smoother, quicker, and roomier second-generation update, plus added seating flexibility and upgraded tech and safety features. That said, it remains an expensive midsize SUV, so it fits best if you value capability and refinement over low ownership cost. 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview still points to reliability as a weak spot, alongside fuel economy and ownership costs. Even with the second-generation updates and added safety and tech equipment, this is still the kind of used SUV where maintenance and repair exposure can matter more than average. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is higher than you’d want in a simpler SUV, so condition and service history should carry extra weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on bodywork, electronics, and signs of uneven wear, since condition matters a lot on a premium SUV like this. Focus on maintenance records and overall mechanical health before you get distracted by trim, options, or appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 972 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,874, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $22,874 sits slightly below last year's $26,694.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the hit from depreciation. The biggest resale advantage will come from choosing a clean, well-documented example that stands out in a market where condition matters a lot.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 makes sense if you want the updated second-generation Range Rover Sport with a strong mix of luxury, capability, and a more favorable used-market price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
