How much does the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 8.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,668 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its strong performance, comfort, and luxurious features, and they also highlight the spacious interior and impressive technology. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want an SUV that can handle everyday driving while still offering real off-road capability and a more premium feel. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a meaningful share of attractive pricing in the market.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free enough to recommend, especially for the way it balances comfort, performance, and capability over time. That said, you should still plan for a careful pre-purchase check, because long-term ownership risk can be higher if maintenance history is uneven or wear items have been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, suspension, brakes, and interior wear so you can judge whether the vehicle’s condition matches the asking price. Because this model can be used for both daily driving and tougher conditions, focus on signs of hard use as well as any repair quality issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,668 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,181, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $16,181 sits slightly below last year's $17,688.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale upside may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter a lot, because well-kept examples tend to stand out more when prices are drifting down. Strong demand for this model’s mix of comfort and capability should still help support future interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,134, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,181 average.
• It offers broad lineup appeal with strong off-road character and a premium feel.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,697, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,181 average.
• It adds everyday usability with strong on-road and off-road balance.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is saving money, the 2017 is the better secondary path; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2019 is the natural upgrade.
