Is the 2018 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 INFINITI QX80 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its ride quality, attractive design, and abundance of safety features, and many also appreciate the value it offers for a luxury SUV. In practical terms, that makes it a fit if you want a full-size luxury SUV with comfort, presence, and equipment rather than maximum efficiency or third-row space. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that it feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on comfort, ride quality, and the sense that it delivers a lot of luxury for the money. That kind of satisfaction usually matters most when you plan to keep a used SUV for several years. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the cabin experience and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 INFINITI QX80?

At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on body panels, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs. Because this is a large luxury SUV, you should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can avoid examples that were neglected or heavily used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 INFINITI QX80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 712 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,526, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $18,526 sits slightly below last year's $21,590.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the SUV more approachable for you as a buyer but less favorable if you're thinking about near-term resale. If you buy one now, your future selling price will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because shoppers still respond to the QX80's luxury features and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,674, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $18,526 average.
• It feels more lavish and pricier.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the better value play and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling, more upscale-feeling alternative, the 2019 is the secondary path to consider.
