What should I look for when buying a used 2018 INFINITI QX80?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Because this is a large luxury SUV, you should also pay close attention to overall condition and maintenance records before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 INFINITI QX80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

If you find a listing below $18,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $18,625 sits slightly below last year's $21,451.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale more sensitive to mileage, condition, and maintenance history. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong shape, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation losses later. Demand should remain steadier for clean, well-kept examples than for higher-mileage or accident-history listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,332, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $18,625 average.
• It is more lavish and pricier.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the better value and a broader pool of discounted listings. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2018 is the smarter starting point; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling, more lavish version, the 2019 is the alternative to compare.
