How much does the 2018 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 7.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,436 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, spaciousness, and driving comfort, and many also like the rear entertainment system and roomy interior. For you, that makes it especially appealing if you want a practical family SUV with broad everyday usefulness. With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable, and the overall tone is that of a dependable SUV with minor areas for improvement. The same reviews also emphasize its comfort and practicality, which usually matters when you plan to keep a vehicle for the long haul. For used buyers, that means the bigger risk is less about day-to-day livability and more about making sure a specific example has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on signs of past bodywork, uneven wear, and any mechanical issues that could affect long-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,436 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,182, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $18,182 sits slightly below last year's $19,669.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible to buyers, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and documentation than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still attract attention because the Pilot's family-friendly reputation remains a strong draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,117, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $18,182 average.
• It offers practical family use with strong owner praise for reliability and comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the better current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is the stronger default choice. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you find one with a clean history and solid maintenance records.
