Used 2018 Dodge Durango for Sale nearLas Vegas, NV

How much does the 2018 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 9.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,704 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.7/5 user rating and an expert score of 7.8/10. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, powerful performance, and family-friendly features. The Durango also gets credit for a smooth ride, an effective electronic interface, and useful amenities for family trips.

That lines up well with the Durango’s use case as a three-row SUV that can handle daily errands, road trips, and heavier-duty tasks without giving up a more athletic character. The market also shows 32.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, especially those who value the Durango’s spaciousness and family usefulness. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Durango’s fully independent, rubber-damped suspension helps it feel lighter than its weight suggests, which supports everyday drivability over the long term.

If you’re buying used, the main risk is that higher-mileage examples may have seen hard family or towing use, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Dodge Durango?

At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been used hard for towing or family hauling. It’s also worth checking that the cabin electronics, camera, and driver conveniences all work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base versions start with a 7-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, RWD, 7-passenger seating, keyless ignition and entry, 3-zone auto climate control, a load-leveling rear suspension, and heated mirrors. Higher trims add features such as an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, roof rails, rear park assist, power liftgate, remote start, leather upholstery, heated front and second-row seats, heated steering wheel, driver memory settings, rear parking sensors, upgraded infotainment, and more luxury equipment.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 293-hp V6, a 5.7-liter V8 with 360 hp, and a 6.4-liter V8 with 475 hp. The V6 returns 19 mpg city and 26 highway, the 5.7-liter V8 returns 14 mpg city and 22 highway, and the SRT’s 6.4-liter V8 returns an estimated 13 mpg city and 19 highway.
• Safety package: The available Technology package adds adaptive cruise with auto braking and brake assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path alert, full-speed forward-collision warning, and lane-departure warning. A Safety/Security & Convenience Group adds auto high beams with auto leveling, blind-spot monitor with cross-path alert, low-beam HIDs, rain-sensing wipers, and a power steering column. Some advanced safety systems are not standard on higher trims.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 7-inch touchscreen, standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a standard reversing camera. An upgraded infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen is available on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 returns 19 mpg city and 26 highway, the 5.7-liter V8 returns 14 mpg city and 22 highway, and the 6.4-liter V8 returns an estimated 13 mpg city and 19 highway.

Which 2018 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2018 Dodge Durango is offered in 6 trim levels: SXT, SXT Plus, GT, Citadel, R/T, SRT.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Durango’s core strengths without stretching the budget. You get the 293-hp V6, 7-passenger seating, 6,200-pound towing capacity, and the year’s big tech upgrades, including the 7-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
• SXT Plus: This trim adds an 8-way power driver’s seat with 4-way lumbar, roof rails, and rear park assist. It makes sense if you want a more comfortable daily driver and a little more convenience without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• GT: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds power liftgate, remote start, leather upholstery, a 115-volt outlet, 20-inch alloys, heated front and second-row seats, heated steering wheel, driver memory settings, and rear parking sensors. It’s the trim that most clearly balances comfort and value.
• Citadel: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin, with features like auto wipers and high beams for xenon headlights, upgraded leather and brakes, more leather around the cabin, a power passenger seat with front-seat ventilation, sunroof, front parking sensors, a power steering column, an upgraded 8.4-inch infotainment system, and a 9-speaker stereo with HD Radio and a subwoofer.
• R/T: This is the pick for you if you want stronger performance and towing. It adds a sport suspension, the SRT hood and grille, upgraded steering, LED fog lights, best-in-class 7,400-pound towing, and a more athletic interior treatment. It suits buyers who want V8 power and don’t mind a firmer ride.
• SRT: This is the top performance choice, with the 6.4-liter V8, adaptive suspension, sport steering tune, electronic limited-slip differential, and SRT Performance Pages. It’s the trim for you if outright power matters most.

The safety package is not standard on every trim, so if driver-assistance features matter to you, verify exactly which options are included on the listing you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and still find a decent deal.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,704 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,397, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $17,504 sits slightly below last year's $19,421.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Durango’s value is being supported more by its capability and feature set than by price momentum.

If you maintain it well and choose a desirable trim, you should have a better chance of holding buyer interest when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Dodge Durango safe?

The Durango earns four-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with five-star ratings in side impacts, and independent evaluations gave it top ratings in all tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes four-wheel antilock discs, stability control, traction control, trailer sway control, and a full suite of airbags with front side, driver knee, and full-length curtain coverage. Available driver assistance can add adaptive cruise with auto braking and brake assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path alert, forward-collision warning, and lane-departure warning.

One caveat is that some advanced safety systems are not standard on higher trims, so you should confirm the exact equipment on any used listing before you buy.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a new SRT trim plus standard Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch touchscreen with a reversing camera.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,541, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $17,504 average.
• It blends family usefulness with real towing strength.

The bottom line: If you want the newer tech and the expanded performance lineup, the 2018 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front and you can live without the 2018’s added convenience and performance upgrades, the 2017 is the value play.
