What is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $22,444 sits slightly below last year's $25,081.

That price movement suggests the truck has become more affordable for buyers, which can also mean a softer starting point for future resale. Trucks with steady owner demand tend to hold attention better, especially when they have a strong reputation among shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $26,020, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $22,444 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin and a more refined overall feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2018 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer redesign and a more polished experience, the 2019 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2018 is the one to watch first.
