CarGurus Analysis: 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Summary
With 8,993 currently listed for sale and an average price of $22,559, 31.2% of 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4.75 / 5 stars.
65.6% of 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stands out as a full-size pickup that blends capability with a relatively comfortable, well-equipped feel. It belongs to the third generation, which brought lighter curb weights, higher towing capacities, improved mpg from standard cylinder deactivation, and added safety features such as forward-collision and lane-departure warning systems. For buyers who want a truck that still feels straightforward, the Silverado’s mix of regular cab, extended cab, and crew cab body styles, along with multiple bed lengths, gives it broad everyday usefulness.
What makes the 2018 model especially appealing is the way Chevrolet had already layered in useful technology by that point. The truck had touchscreen infotainment and a reversing camera, and it also included automatic engine stop-start to help improve fuel mileage. Owners commonly praise the 2018 Silverado 1500 for its power, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and good handling, which fits the truck’s reputation for being both capable and pleasant to live with. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the Silverado line is often criticized for cheap interiors, and this generation has a reputation for transmission-related problems, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

I'm pleased with the features my truck has. I believe I got a good deal. The only thing my truck is missing is leather seats. I would compare this truck to Ram 1500 and Ford F150.
