Used 2017 Nissan Titan for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2017 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 6.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,089 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — it earns 4.59/5 from users and 6.5/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

User feedback consistently points to power, spaciousness, value for money, a smooth ride, and useful technology features. In context, that lines up with the Titan’s role as a full-size pickup that aims to be a serious alternative rather than a novelty, especially if you want a truck that feels substantial and can handle heavy loads.

The market also shows 30.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.59/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a truck that feels reliable, dependable, and capable of being a long-term choice, with praise for its power and ability to handle heavy loads. The expert drive notes also describe it as a trusty workhorse, and the warranty coverage is unusually strong for the class, which helps reduce ownership anxiety.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the truck’s condition, maintenance history, and prior use match your expectations for a full-size pickup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Titan?

At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, frame areas, and signs of repair quality. Because this is a full-size truck, condition matters a lot: look closely at how it was used, whether it shows wear consistent with towing or hauling, and whether the cabin and controls still feel well cared for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The top-end Platinum Reserve stands out with polished 20-inch wheels, two-tone paint, and a two-tone brown leather interior with quilted stitching, while base and mid-grade trucks are described as sufficient rather than luxurious.
• Powertrain: The truck is offered with a gasoline 5.6-liter V8 with 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, and the XD can also be had with an optional 5.0-liter Cummins diesel V8 making 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring is mentioned, but there are no driver-assist features like auto-braking or forward-collision alerts.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch touchscreen with hard buttons, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered.

Which 2017 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Titan lineup and care more about the truck’s core capability than extra comfort or appearance upgrades.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it should give you a more balanced mix of equipment and price without pushing you into the higher-end luxury territory.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel than the lower trims and are willing to pay for added comfort and presentation.
• Pro-4X: Pick this if you want the trail-tuned character mentioned in the expert drive notes, especially if you expect to deal with rougher conditions or snow.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the luxury pick, with the most distinctive appearance and cabin treatment, including the polished 20-inch wheels and two-tone brown leather interior with quilted stitching.

The safety content notes that the Titan has only blind-spot monitoring and lacks broader driver-assistance features, so even higher trims do not bring a full suite of active safety tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Titan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,089 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,384, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $19,433 sits slightly below last year's $20,872.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current trend shows softer demand than a year ago, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter more when you go to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.59/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2017 Nissan Titan earns a Marginal rating in the IIHS small front overlap crash test and Good ratings in the four other IIHS tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Titan’s safety equipment is limited: aside from blind-spot monitoring, there are no driver-assist features like auto-braking or forward-collision alerts. That means you should not expect the kind of active-safety coverage that many rivals offer, and the IIHS small-overlap result is the main caution flag to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.59/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert drive says there’s “a real truck here,” which fits shoppers who want a serious full-size pickup that still feels usable day to day.

The bottom line: The 2017 Titan makes the most sense if you want a full-size pickup with strong owner approval, a lower used price than last year, and enough inventory to shop selectively. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal availability make this a good year to target; if you want more modern safety tech or a broader feature set, you may want to compare it carefully with other years.
