How much does the 2017 Mazda CX-3 cost?

There are 298 listings available, which gives you a workable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating, and the 2017 Mazda CX-3’s appeal comes from its upscale, driver-focused personality and well-equipped cabin. The overview points to a compact crossover that feels more premium than many rivals, with standard features like LED headlights, keyless entry, and Mazda Connect, plus available upgrades such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, a head-up display, and a Bose audio system. Its main tradeoff is practicality, since the back seat and cargo area are cramped and the infotainment controls can be fussy.

32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also suggests a vehicle that was built with a strong standard equipment list and a focus on safety and refinement, which can help confidence in day-to-day use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity and more about finding one that has been cared for well, since condition and maintenance history matter most on a compact crossover this age.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Mazda CX-3?

At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident history. Focus your evaluation on body condition, signs of uneven wear, and whether the cabin and cargo area show the kind of use that matches the seller’s story.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mazda CX-3?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.47% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 56.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,432, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $14,568 sits slightly above last year's $13,945.

That upward move suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy carefully. If you choose a clean, well-kept example, you’re more likely to preserve value than if you start with a car that already has accident history or visible wear. Pricing strength also matters because buyers tend to respond to models that still feel desirable and competitively equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.47% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,988, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,568 average.
• It adds standard low-speed emergency braking.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2017 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and a bit more standard safety equipment, the 2018 is the better secondary path for price-sensitive buyers who still want to stay close on budget.
