How much does the 2017 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 661 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the NX for its performance, comfort, and stylish design, and many also call out its smooth ride, sporty feel, and reliability. That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV with a distinctive look and a comfortable, premium feel. With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2017 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, along with a smooth ride and a comfortable ownership experience. Reviewers describe the NX as a vehicle they enjoy living with over time, which supports its reputation as a dependable used luxury SUV. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction suggests lower long-term ownership risk than you might expect from a premium crossover.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus NX?

At 53.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and service history, since a well-kept NX is more likely to deliver the ownership experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 661 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,718, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $19,532 sits slightly below last year's $19,643.

That small decline suggests the NX has held value fairly well rather than dropping sharply. For a future seller, that kind of stability is encouraging because it points to a market that remains comfortable with the model’s pricing. The NX’s premium badge, distinctive styling, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep buyer interest steady over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2017 NX is a smart choice if you want a compact luxury SUV with strong owner approval, stable pricing, and a distinctive design. If you’re focused on value, the 2017 makes sense as a primary target; if you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare it with nearby years to see whether a slightly older example offers a lower entry point without giving up the NX’s core strengths.
