What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus NX?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far into the process. Focus on overall condition, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.38% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a compact luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still shows decent deal availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
