How much does the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious features, smooth drive, and attractive interior, and many also value its performance and off-road capability. That fits well if you want a luxury SUV with a more distinctive, capability-first personality than many rivals. With 37.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a vehicle that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centered on its smooth drive and overall ownership experience. At the same time, the review summary also points to concerns about reliability, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk can be manageable only if you choose carefully and verify how the vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially on a luxury SUV where repair costs can escalate quickly if something has been overlooked. Focus closely on overall condition, because the best used example is the one with clear records, clean presentation, and evidence of consistent care.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 964 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,827, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $17,829 sits slightly below last year's $21,319.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make this model easier to buy than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that also means you may face more pressure to price competitively if you want to move the vehicle quickly. The upside is that strong owner satisfaction can still help support demand when your example is clean, well maintained, and well documented.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better pick if you want the newer tech and safety upgrades, plus a market that currently gives you more negotiating room than some alternatives. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as the more appealing choice when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, updated features, and softer pricing.
