Used 2017 Jaguar XE for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2017 Jaguar XE cost?

Prices have softened 3.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 130 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Jaguar XE a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Jaguar XE earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its stunning looks, sporty performance, and luxurious features, along with the comfortable, fun driving experience and smooth handling. That lines up with the XE’s compact luxury-sedan mission in the overview: it is aimed at you if you want a sport-sedan feel with upscale appeal, even if you have to accept some practical compromises. With 28.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Jaguar XE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its comfortable driving experience, strong acceleration, and smooth handling. The expert evaluation also describes it as a competent and handsome sport sedan that is worth a hard look, which supports the idea that it can be a car you count on if you choose carefully.

Jaguar’s 5-year/60,000-mile warranty, including all scheduled maintenance, is a meaningful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that electronics, space compromises, and prior wear can matter more than the badge if the car was not maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Jaguar XE?

At 68.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven panel gaps, tire wear, or warning lights. Focus on condition details that matter in a luxury sport sedan: electronics behavior, cabin wear, and how well the car has been maintained. If possible, test every feature you plan to use regularly so you do not inherit a costly surprise.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin and exterior presentation are a major part of the XE’s appeal, with clean styling, a quality feel, and a cockpit that looks upscale and sporty. The top R-Sport trim adds standard driver-assistance equipment that is only optional on other trims, so base versions can leave you with fewer safety features.
• Powertrain: The XE offers a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder with 240 horsepower and a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 340 hp. The chassis is praised for its natural steering feel and little body roll, so the engine you choose should match how much performance you want.
• Safety package: Forward-collision alert, auto-braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver fatigue alert are standard in the top R-Sport trim and optional on others. Adaptive cruise control, 360-degree cameras, and automatic parking are also available as options.
• Infotainment: The 10.2-inch screen is clear, easy to navigate, and supports touch and swiping gestures with reconfigurable menus. The system can be quick, but the software has notable glitches, so you should test responsiveness carefully.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel version averaged 43 miles per gallon over a long trip and saw 55 mpg on some highway stretches. Gas models are listed at 21/30 mpg for the rear-wheel-drive four-cylinder and V6, while the AWD V6 is 20/29 mpg.

Which 2017 Jaguar XE trim should I buy?

The 2017 Jaguar XE is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, Prestige, R-Sport.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the XE’s styling and driving character at the lowest starting price. It gives you the core sport-sedan experience, but you should expect fewer standard convenience and safety features than the higher trims.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment without pushing you all the way to the top of the range. If you want a more complete luxury feel while keeping the budget in check, this is the trim to focus on first.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want a more upscale presentation and are willing to pay for a richer feature set. It suits you if comfort and cabin polish matter more than keeping the purchase as lean as possible.
• R-Sport: This is the trim to choose if you want the most aggressive character and the strongest safety package. Forward-collision alert, auto-braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver fatigue alert are standard here, while they are optional on other trims.

The safety-package gap is important: those driver-assistance features are standard only on the top R-Sport trim and optional elsewhere.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Jaguar XE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,859, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Jaguar XE's resale value?

The current average of $12,144 sits slightly below last year's $12,592.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. If you keep the car clean, documented, and mechanically sound, you will be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Jaguar XE safe?

The XE has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety content highlights a useful driver-assistance setup that includes optional blind-spot monitoring, plus forward-collision alert, auto-braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver fatigue alert that are standard in the top R-Sport trim and optional on others. Adaptive cruise control, 360-degree cameras, and automatic parking are also available as options. The main caveat is that crash-test results are not available, so you should lean more heavily on inspection quality and the presence of the safety equipment you want.

Should I buy a 2017 Jaguar XE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 XE is positioned as Jaguar’s effort to rebuild its image in a crowded compact luxury-sedan segment, with sporty handling and upscale appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the XE’s style, performance, and value-oriented pricing, the 2017 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-maintained example you can find rather than chasing the cheapest listing, because condition and equipment matter a lot in this car.
