overall

Summary
With 198 currently listed for sale and an average price of $19,087.00, 25.3% of 2017 INFINITI Q60s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2017 INFINITI Q60 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.67 / 10.
47.0% of 2017 Q60 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 stands out as a fully redesigned luxury sport coupe that leans heavily on technology, value, and style. Infiniti gave it new engines, a retuned transmission, and the second generation of Direct Adaptive Steering, while also adding a GT-R-related twin-turbo V6. The result is a car that aims to bring more theatre to the segment without abandoning the performance credentials buyers expect.
What makes the 2017 Q60 especially appealing is the mix of striking styling, impressive handling, and a long list of tech features. It is also notable for its fully drive-by-wire setup, which is part of the car’s high-tech character. At the same time, the Q60 is not built around driver involvement in the traditional sense, since it does not offer either a dual-clutch automatic or a manual transmission. That makes it a strong choice for shoppers who want a distinctive, well-equipped coupe, even if pure engagement is not its main calling card.

I’ve owned my Q60RS for about a year and a half as of writing this. It’s safe to say that, I really, REALLY like this car. It’s got a perfect mix of mid 2010’s technology combined with all the premier engineering from the Nissan 370z and the Nissan GT-R. The Q60RS in AWD feels light, easy to drive, easy to control, and is so family friendly that once you kick it into Sport and Sport+, you hardly remember that the twin-turbo V6 hiding under the hood is still an absolute monster to be tamed. The car does have its downsides - it’s VERY persistent about warnings and issues that otherwise wouldn’t matter, such as front camera sensors not being available or an occasional check engine light even if nothing is wrong under the hood. Maybe that’s just with my Q60. The car is also a little bit towards the bottom of its league compared to other options in its MSRP price range - namely the 981 Porsche Cayman, the S197-II and S550-I / S550-II Ford Mustang lineup, the Gen 6 Camaro SS, etc. For a $50K-$60K car, I would expect it to be pretty fast if not luxurious - and while the car is both fast and luxurious, it could definitely prove itself a little more in the top speed game. Back in the 2000’s, 400 Horsepower was enough to get you up to 160 - 180MPH range, and by the early 2010’s, that was fairly default (as seen with the 2008 - 2012 Dodge Charger SRT-8, 2007 - 2012 Porsche 911 lineup ((997.1 and 997.2, etc))). This car packs 400 Horsepower exact, but only tops out around 155 Miles an Hour - I’m fairly certain that even the 370Z Nismo marks around that top speed. Regardless of its issues, the car is still an amazing drive - and if you can find one for the right price, I’d definitely recommend going for it. It’s the perfect entry level performance car for the prices it comes around in now (I purchased mine for around $25K @ around 89K Miles - most Q60RS range between $27K - $40K depending on mileage and condition). So, if you’re looking for something thats on par with some of the more popular sports cars of the mid 2010’s, this is definitely a go to!

Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 a good car?
Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 6.67/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.
The Q60’s appeal is rooted in its fully redesigned luxury sport coupe formula: striking styling, impressive handling, and a long list of tech features. It is also aimed at shoppers who want a distinctive, well-equipped coupe, even if pure driver engagement is not its main calling card.
24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still meaningful value in the market if you shop carefully.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Q60’s reliability story is tied to its mix of new engines, a retuned transmission, and a fully drive-by-wire setup. The 3.0T’s twin-turbo V6 is described as smooth and eager, and the performance notes suggest the engine’s tech-heavy design is intended to improve throttle response and efficiency. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to the lower trims as the stronger value play, especially if you want the car’s core strengths without stretching into the pricier versions.
If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s more advanced systems may be expensive or frustrating to live with if they need attention or if you end up disabling features you expected to use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI Q60?
At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has any signs of prior bodywork or if the driver-assistance systems feel inconsistent on a test drive. Focus on how the steering, braking, and electronic aids behave in real-world use, since the car’s tech-heavy setup is a major part of the ownership experience.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base 2.0T brings LED head- and foglights, keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power seats with leatherette, heated mirrors, 19-inch alloys, and a dual-touchscreen interface, while the 2.0T Premium adds a standard sunroof and an upgraded Bose stereo. The 3.0T Premium adds the twin-turbo V6 and opens the door to more equipment, and the Red Sport 400 adds 400-hp performance hardware, staggered forged wheels, paddle shifters, sport seats, and adaptive suspension.
- Powertrain: You get a Mercedes-crafted turbocharged 4-cylinder in the 2.0T and a 300-hp twin-turbo V6 in the 3.0T, with a 400-hp version in the Red Sport 400. The 2.0T is smooth but not especially quick for the segment, while the V6 models bring much stronger performance and better overall character.
- Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds parking sensors front and rear, a 360-degree camera view, blind-spot monitoring, auto wipers, and auto braking front and rear with forward-collision warning. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot intervention, lane departure warning and intervention, and adaptive headlights with auto high beams.
- Infotainment: The Q60 uses dual touchscreens, and the interface is described as functional but a bit confusing. The Premium trim adds an upgraded Bose stereo, and the text notes that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto would be welcome additions.
- Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T is rated at 22 city mpg and 30 highway in rear-wheel-drive form, or 21/28 with all-wheel drive. The 3.0T is rated at 19/28 with rear-wheel drive and 19/27 with all-wheel drive, while the Red Sport 400 is rated at 20 city/27 highway in rear-wheel drive and 19/26 with all-wheel drive.
Which 2017 INFINITI Q60 trim should I buy?
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 is offered in 5 trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T Premium, 3.0T Premium, Red Sport 400, Silver Sport.
Here's the short version:
- 2.0T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q60 look and a solid list of standard features for the money. It makes sense if you want the styling and luxury-coupe feel at the lowest price, but it is the least compelling choice if you care about performance.
- 2.0T Premium: This trim adds the sunroof and upgraded Bose audio, making it the better pick if you want a more complete daily-driver experience without jumping to the V6. It is the best-value choice if you want the Q60’s upscale feel and don’t need the stronger engine.
- 3.0T Premium: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it brings the 300-hp twin-turbo V6 and unlocks more desirable options. If you want the strongest balance of performance, equipment, and value, this is the trim to target.
- Red Sport 400: This is the top performance choice, with 400 hp, adaptive suspension, forged wheels, paddle shifters, and sport seats. Buy this if you want the most power and the most aggressive hardware, but expect to pay for it.
- Silver Sport: This later-arriving trim is described as nearly identical to the Red Sport 400 but with skinnier tires and the 300-hp V6. It looks like a strong middle ground if you want much of the Red Sport flavor without the full power upgrade.
The safety-package trims are worth prioritizing if you want the most complete driver-assistance setup, especially the Technology Package and Driver Assistance package.

- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,902.91, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 INFINITI Q60's resale value?
The current average of $18,931 sits slightly below last year's $20,167.
That price movement suggests the Q60 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A softer market today can also mean less downside risk later if you avoid overpaying now. The trims with stronger equipment and broader appeal should be easier to move than the most expensive versions.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 safe?
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The Q60 has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The available safety tech is a major part of the car’s appeal. The Technology Package adds upgraded seatbelts that lock you in upon clicking them in place and tighten up pre-collision, while the broader suite includes autonomous braking forward and in reverse, traction and stability control, and full-length curtain-side airbags plus the usual airbags. The driver-assistance systems can be intrusive, though, so you should test them carefully and make sure they behave the way you expect.
Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI Q60 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- What stands out most this year is the fully redesigned Q60’s mix of striking styling, impressive handling, and a long list of tech features.
The bottom line: The 2017 Q60 makes the most sense if you want the redesigned coupe’s style, tech, and value story in one package. If you’re price-sensitive, the 3.0T Premium or a well-equipped lower trim is the smarter path than stretching to the top-end performance model.
