Why it stands out
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline distinguishes itself as the industry's only unibody pickup, combining the utility of a truck with the comfort of a car. This innovative design results in a smooth ride, making it feel more refined than traditional body-on-frame pickups. The Ridgeline is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and offers a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, catering to various driving needs. Owners appreciate the spacious interior and versatile cargo solutions, such as the conveniently accessible under-bed trunk. Although some users feel it's priced higher than competing trucks and desire more advanced technology in the infotainment system, the overall driving experience and practical features often win them over. The Ridgeline's heightened safety features and projected reliability also contribute to its appeal among buyers looking for a comfortable yet functional vehicle.

We were looking for a truck for light hauling. Not for off-road. And I didn’t want to truck that looked all tricked out and masculine. I wanted a smooth ride, and a functional truck. We ruled out other midsize trucks because they rode like a truck. And as a passenger, the ride was unsettling. I prefer a ride like butter. Then we found the Honda Ridgeline. Because it is built different than the other midsize trucks, basically a truck body or an SUV base, it rides as smooth as silk. It doesn’t look like I’m trying to be young, or masculine or tough. It’s a classy looking little truck. The electronics inside blow me away. All of the safety features, and the space inside the backseat. It was exactly what we were looking for. I just didn’t know it existed until I found the Ridgeline.
